How euroSKIES works
At euroSKIES, we combine realistic operations with maximum flexibility. Want to just hop into the cockpit and fly? Go for it. Prefer deep immersion with real-world procedures, documentation, and qualifications? We’ve got you covered.
Our aim is simple: a virtual airline that adapts to your flying style – not the other way around.
We rely on a strong community, modern tools, and a solid technical foundation.

How is euroSKIES different from other Virtual Airlines?

A realistic flight schedule – just like in real life
Our flight schedule is based on realistic operational logic – just like a real airline. Every route you can fly with euroSKIES is designed to be plausible with our current fleet and destinations.
We avoid random or artificial connections just to inflate our numbers. Instead, we carefully design routes that evolve over time, offering both structure and new discoveries.
Your benefit:
Choose familiar connections or explore new, thoughtfully created routes – always in line with our realistic concept.

OCC – Your gateway into our virtual airline
Ready for takeoff – but the right way?
Our Operator Conversion Course (OCC) is your optional, interactive introduction to flying with euroSKIES. You’ll not only get to know our system, but also gain valuable insights into our procedures, tools, and operational standards.
What can you expect in the OCC?
Go-Around Reporting – Why missed approaches matter and how to report them correctly
Airport Categorization – How to classify airports based on difficulty
Crosswind Techniques – Essentials for safe landings in crosswind conditions
Cost Index & Flight Planning – Making realistic decisions from an airline’s perspective
Why take part?
You’ll fly with a deeper understanding of real-world procedures
You’ll lay the foundation for optional qualifications and ratings
You’ll earn virtual rewards and receive the official euroSKIES wing
Good to know
Participation is optional but highly recommended – especially for pilots who want more than just “flying around.” The OCC makes all the difference: turning casual flyers into committed members.
You set the pace and decide how quickly you complete the course.
Growing together – through tours and events
At euroSKIES, we believe in a community-driven approach. Our tours and events are more than just content – they’re part of a structured learning and experience framework.
Tours are built systematically and with purpose, often based on real-world routes, geographical challenges, or simulated fleet concepts.
Events always serve a goal – whether it’s experiencing complex approaches together, training for specific scenarios, or testing new content (like OCC modules).
This not only strengthens community engagement, but also sets euroSKIES apart from traditional “fly-along VAs.”

Connected via Discord
The euroSKIES Discord server is your direct link to the community, the team, and everything happening right now.

Frequently Asked Questions
euroSKIES relies on a flight schedule modeled on real-world operations – featuring typical routes and deployment patterns of our fleet. You’re still free to choose what, when, and where you fly. For us, realism means you decide how deep you want to dive in.
No – at euroSKIES, you decide where you fly. The realistic flight schedule serves as a foundation, but you’re free to choose from all available routes. Your experience is what matters most!
All you need is a flight simulator (MSFS, P3D, or X-Plane) and a passion for virtual flying. No technical knowledge or experience with virtual airlines is required – we’re here to help you get started.
The Operator Conversion Course (OCC) is an optional introductory course that teaches you the essential basics of realistic operations — including go-around procedures, airport categorization, crosswind techniques, and how to use the cost index.
It’s simple: Choose a route, plan it directly through our SimBrief integration, and your data is automatically transferred to ACARS. This way, you’re ready to go quickly—without any manual input.
Currently, you can fly with Microsoft Flight Simulator, Prepar3D, and X-Plane. Our key liveries are available for FENIX and PMDG aircraft, with more publishers being added continuously.
Our members actively shape euroSKIES. Through regular surveys, you can influence new features, events, and rules – we are a close-knit family where your opinion truly matters.
Yes – but fair and transparent: To stay active at euroSKIES, we expect a certain level of participation in flight operations. This helps us keep the community vibrant and engaged.
How it works:
The calendar year is divided into two activity periods:
Within each period, you need to meet one of the following goals to be considered active:
- at least 5 flights within our official flight schedule, tours, or events
– or – - at least 15 hours of flight time, also within our official offerings
Flights outside the official flight schedule (e.g., free routes) do not count toward activity.
What happens if you’re inactive?
- If no activity is recorded during a period, your account will initially be marked as inactive.
- Three months after inactivity begins, your account will be deleted—unless you contact us beforehand.
- Newly registered accounts will also be deleted if no flights are completed within three months.
Individual solutions always possible:
Short on time or special circumstances? No problem! Just reach out to us, and we’ll find a solution together.
We combine realism with freedom. Our realistic flight schedule, optional depth through qualifications, and close-knit community create a unique experience – without rigid rules or restrictions.
ACARS is our flight data tool that automatically records your flight information. After planning with SimBrief, all data is transferred directly into ACARS – no manual entries needed.
